A Musical Memory on Your Wall!

This sketch poster is more than just a drawing of a window, it’s a quiet tribute to the golden era of Lebanese music, where love, poetry, and simplicity lived in every melody.

Inspired by a scene from the Rahbani Brothers’ musical play "Sahret Hobb", this piece brings to life the famous line "Ana men balad al shabebik", sung by Fairouz and Wadih Al-Safi, two legends whose voices shaped Lebanon’s musical soul.

The poster design features a traditional arched window, framed with white and grey stone, sitting softly on a pink wall. The wooden shutters, also in pink, are open, revealing a flower bed filled with greenery, a peaceful view, tender and full of feeling. On the side, in bold black Arabic calligraphy, the line is written clearly, as if echoing from the past.

I still remember the first time I heard this on a cassette tape in the 1990s. I was just a child. The melody stayed with me, and the words carried the warmth of simplicity. That song, and the play it came from, brought laughter, romance, and a touch of innocence that feels far away from today’s fast-paced life.

This artwork was not easy to make from an entire play! It came from a deep place of nostalgia. But I knew it deserved a place on our walls.

This poster was made especially for couples, art lovers, and anyone with a soft spot for Lebanon’s musical history.

It pairs beautifully with its companion piece, "Ana men Balad al Hikayat", a matching poster inspired by the famous line sung by Wadih Al-Safi in the same play. Together, they make a soulful duet on your wall, a conversation of love, story, and belonging.

A piece that gently says, “Remember?”
